Sometimes in low paying jobs you will see that no real trains is given on many jobs other what is humorous called training on the job. However usually with regulations you will see more and more training happening. Often the training is recorded on vids or any other electronic means. Funny enough training vids are usually one of the very few items that all staff will access and usually one of the first impressions that a new staff, temp, contractor, etc. experiences.
Training vids differ from standard operating procedures, applications, handbooks or corporate statements that they carry something personal. Now there is an increasing level of companies where the real company culture tends to focus in the same way as training vids are produced up to the point that you have sterile vids to avoid offending anyone and after a short period customers start complaining that the soul of company is gone despite the best mission statement, because staff will follow the doers and often not the content and the does that everyone knows are the trains vid actors.
So if you want to know about a company (e.g. invest) get some of their training vids.
