Open Badges from The Open Group

The Open Group is pleased to announce the piloting of our Open Badge program for the professional certification programs. Over the coming months, we will be issuing digital badges for all of The Open Group Certification Programs. These web-enabled badges will allow everyone with an Open Group certification, to clearly, more simply, and consistently promote their Open Group credentials online.

The Open Group Ottawa 2017 – Event Highlights

The Open Group hosted over 300 attendees from 17 countries July 17 – 20 for the ‘Making Standards Work® e-Government’ event at the Shaw Centre in Canada’s beautiful capital city, Ottawa. It was a wonderful time to be in the country as Canada is celebrating its 150th anniversary!

The Open Group Berlin 2017 – Event Highlights

On Monday, April 24, Steve Nunn, President and CEO of The Open Group gave a warm welcome to over 200 attendees from 24 countries at the ‘Smart Cities/Making Standards Work’ event in Berlin, Germany. The venue, Berlin Marriott, sits on the site where some of the Berlin Wall was. In several meeting rooms, attendees were in the former East and West Berlin at the same time.
