The tech city of Bangalore was the venue for The Open Group India Conference and Awards held Feb 22 – 24, 2018.
Speakers and delegates from seventeen countries converged in Bangalore to participate in this international event, which was supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. Making Standards Work™ for Your Digital Agenda was the theme for this year, in line with the realization of the importance of standards.
In beautiful, sunny San Diego, California, The Open Group hosted its latest event January 29 – February 1 at the iconic US Grant Hotel in the lively Gaslamp District. The theme was ‘The Role of Reference Architectures’. We welcomed over 200 attendees from 17 countries – a great first event of the year!

The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology consortium, is hosting its upcoming event in San Diego, California, January 29 – February 1, 2018. The Open Group San Diego 2018 will focus on the Value of Reference Architecture, bringing together vendors and end-user organizations to discuss how to implement digital and global business models.
The Open Group China Event was held September 21-22, 2017 in Shenzhen. One hundred government leaders, heads of authorities, corporate general managers, and ICT experts attended the event to jointly discuss top-level design and technological innovation for enterprise transformation under the background of the digital era.
The rapid pace of technology innovation in today’s digital economy means that businesses require a level of agility and responsiveness that cannot be delivered by conventional business strategies and operating models.

The Open Group Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™) Consortium and LDRA are pleased to announce a ground breaking Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) FACE™ Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) and Exhibition, to be held on October 17, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Solomons Conference Center and Marina in Solomons, MD.

The Open Group is pleased to announce the piloting of our Open Badge program for the professional certification programs. Over the coming months, we will be issuing digital badges for all of The Open Group Certification Programs. These web-enabled badges will allow everyone with an Open Group certification, to clearly, more simply, and consistently promote their Open Group credentials online.
The Open Group hosted over 300 attendees from 17 countries July 17 – 20 for the ‘Making Standards Work® e-Government’ event at the Shaw Centre in Canada’s beautiful capital city, Ottawa. It was a wonderful time to be in the country as Canada is celebrating its 150th anniversary!
On Monday, April 24, Steve Nunn, President and CEO of The Open Group gave a warm welcome to over 200 attendees from 24 countries at the ‘Smart Cities/Making Standards Work’ event in Berlin, Germany. The venue, Berlin Marriott, sits on the site where some of the Berlin Wall was. In several meeting rooms, attendees were in the former East and West Berlin at the same time.
