The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology consortium, is hosting its upcoming event in San Diego, California, January 29 – February 1, 2018. The Open Group San Diego 2018 will focus on the Value of Reference Architecture, bringing together vendors and end-user organizations to discuss how to implement digital and global business models.
Achieving the TOGAF® certification is a significant milestone for over 70,000 Enterprise Architects around the world. And rightly so: the TOGAF, an Open Group standard, is one of the most widely-adopted Enterprise Architecture certifications. But for the best, learning never stops.
The Open Group is pleased to announce the piloting of our Open Badge program for the professional certification programs. Over the coming months, we will be issuing digital badges for all of The Open Group Certification Programs. These web-enabled badges will allow everyone with an Open Group certification, to clearly, more simply, and consistently promote their Open Group credentials online.
The Open Group Security Forum has published two recent white papers that will be of interest to Open FAIR users, and Risk Management professionals generally.
Another milestone in the TOGAF® 9 certification program! The number of individual certifications in the TOGAF® 9 certification program as of July 24 is 70,131. This represents over 12,000 new certifications in the past twelve-month period. TOGAF continues to be adopted globally with certified individuals from 134 different countries.
I can’t pretend to know what folks thought about in ancient times. Did people ask if architects and architectures were useful or whether they were needed? In some areas today, I hear those questions; less in the area dealing with physical building spaces, but in the Information Technology space these questions create fear, uncertainty, and doubt that needs to be overcome to be successful.
