From The Cutter Blog
Though you won’t find his name in Cooperstown or Springfield, Cutter Fellow Vince Kellen is indeed a newly-minted hall-of-famer! The University of San Diego CIO is just the third higher-education CIO named to the CIO Hall of Fame since its inception in 1997.
Members of the Cutter Consortium community have benefited since 2005 from Vince’s outside-the-box approach to deploying people and technology in transformative ways through his Cutter Summit keynotes, prolific research ranging from applying big data in higher education to data democratization, from statistical project management to the challenge of leadership and via his advisory role to a variety Cutter members.
Pierre Ouillet, vice chancellor and chief financial officer at UC San Diego said of Kellen, “He is an innovative visionary who brings his deep expertise and organizational acumen to transform UC San Diego and support the success of its academic and research enterprise. His influence has been felt by the entire UC system, including many of our sister campuses, which are partnering with UC San Diego on a number of systems.”
Congratulations, Vince, on this well-deserved recognition!
