Abstract:
MIT CISR’s data sharing research—which was featured in the Spring 2023 issue of MIT Sloan Management Review—identified four areas of capability that organizations must build to effectively engage in strategic data sharing. Organizations tend to build the capabilities in one of two ways: by sharing externally and then inspiring internal efforts, or by sharing internally and advancing to external sharing over time. Which approach is a better fit for your organization? In this session, Barb discusses what is working—and what is not—in the strategic data sharing efforts at MIT CISR member organizations.
