Applications or Apps are something quite common and just sticking the word mobile in front of them neither makes them new, nor does it describe a device or the use. Instead if we want a real classification we need to look at:
- the input means, such as audio typing, mouse, fingers, neural, etc..
- the output format, such as screen, printer, audio, machine, API, etc.
- use case, such as social, office, shop floor, warehouse, repair bay, etc.
All these notifiers are OS independent, truly agnostic and only if we focus those identifier we can get a real description of what we want. Of course NFR are important, but if we we have not asked these fundamental business questions we are lost.
